Ever driven down Canon Drive near the Wexner Medical Center? It has a slight curve to it. Soon though, Ohio State wants to change that and straighten out the whole thing. Yes, they want to move a road and jack up the population of orange cones to whole new levels. The Board of Trustees is set to vote Friday if the $1.9 million will be allotted toward the project and then the city would cough up another $1.9 million. Straightening the road won’t be all for looks though, the project that thought up in 2011 is intended to give the medical center 12 more acres to work with and expand, according to Columbus Business First. Parking lots would be turned into green spaces and add flood protection.
