Portman for pres? He’s focusing on senate race first
Even as all signs seem to indicate a bid for the presidency from Ohio Senator Rob Portman, he’s not going to give any answers until after he finishes off his race for the senate. He’s uttered the same lines to reporters over and over: 2014 is on his mind, 2016 will come later. Thursday morning, at a breakfast with the media (who were all of course salivating over the thought of a real scoop) he once again reiterated his focus on his current job. “I’m going to take a look at (a presidential campaign) after the election,” he said.

Sen. Portman taking step toward pres. campaign
Ohio Senator Rob Portman is seemingly taking a step toward a 2016 presidential campaign. Reports have said Portman is putting together presidential exploratory committee after his race for senator in November, according to the Dispatch. The committee would be in charge of drumming up money for the early primaries and caucuses. He hasn’t officially announced he is running, but an exploratory committee is stepping toward that.
