Columbus’ Airbnb market is feelin’ hot, hot hot.
After a statewide surge of 96 percent (damn), the hottest market for temporary home rentals in Ohio is the Capital City.
The overall rentals and correlating revenue nearly doubled from 2016 to 2017— 29,000 guest arrivals and $3.6 million in income and 57,780 guest arrivals and $6.5 million in income, respectively.
A big pull to Cbus is the Buckeyes but it wasn’t strong enough to secure the No. 1 Airbnb destination in the Midwest. Chicago is No. 1 and thanks to the solar eclipse this year, two Missouri cities were vaulted ahead of Cbus as they were in the path of totality, reports Columbus Business First.
