Are you ready, player one, for 70mm at GFC?

Picture this: It’s the year 2045 and Columbus has an outstanding internet connection. You are capable of escaping the harsh reality you’re currently tolerating to a virtual world bound only by your wildest imagination.

Are you ready, player one?

Based on the hit novel by Ernest Cline, Ready Player One has taken the country by storm—especially Cbusers as the film is set right here in our city. What better way to watch it than at our fiercely independent Gateway Film Center.

GFC will begin airing the Steven Spielberg film on March 28 in the way movies are meant to be watched, 70mm.

“The team and I are big believers in both film as an essential format, and in hunting down and bringing fans surprising movie experiences they can’t find anywhere else,” said Gateway Film Center President Chris Hamel. “We’re looking every day to give Columbus new experiences, new ways of seeing movies, and ways to present movies as their creators intended.”
