African guitarist Bombino set for the Wexner Center

Bombino, part of the Tuareg people, a nomadic tribe that lives within the Sahara Desert has traveled far and wide as a musician, yet always finding his home within Niger, according to Alive. The musician is set to play at the Wexner Center Wednesday at 8 p.m. He also recently recorded an album with Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach here in the states after Auerbach saw a video of Bombino playing in the desert. His music straddles the threshold between traditional and modern, taking in influences from Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana as well as Tinariwen guitarists.
