Adults to build it out this weekend, vie for dream job at LEGOLAND

Finally, someone in Central Ohio is rewarding you for playing with children’s toys well into your adult life.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Columbus is on the hunt for a Master Model Builder, AKA a grown-up who has spent their whole life honing their LEGO skills and is ready to reveal them to the world.

Not only does this full-time gig require you to be a LEGO fanatic, they’re also looking to employ only the most creative thinker the most inspirational teacher.

Being a Master Model Builder is held in very high esteem, as only 23 other people in the world posses this job title.

“The search for our Master Model Builder is one of the most important and exciting events we will have prior to opening,” said Jacob Kristensen, general manager, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Columbus. “We’re looking for individuals who have a passion for building with LEGO bricks and are able to translate that into a desire to teach and interact with guests as the ambassador of our attraction.”

And for a job of such interest and whimsy to be filled, an interview process of equal interest and whimsy must take place.  

On May 5 and 6 at the Easton Town Center Station Building, candidates vying for the Master Model Builder position will duke it out in a competition called Brick Factor.
