Oldest Winking Lizard kicking the bucket soon
It was a good run but the oldest operating Winking Lizard in Columbus is calling it a wrap.
The bar and restaurant located at 1380 Bethel Road will close April 28, reports Columbus Business First.
After 13 years, the company has decided the building—even after an extensive remodel in 2015—is not quite up to par with the brand’s expectations.
In a statement posted on Twitter, they said the Grandview and Westerville locations are still going strong, as is the new location in Reynoldsburg.

The first Winking Lizard was located at Crosswoods but this store closed in February to make way for an extended-stay hotel.
With the shuttering of the Bethel Road location, Winking Lizard will be pursuing another Columbus location elsewhere.
