New rentable retail playground in Easton gives entrepreneurs chance to experiment
You’ve heard of the experimental test kitchen in Columbus, 1400 Food Lab, but now there’s a new test store for retailers.
New at Easton Town Center is Shop Lab, a 500-square-foot rentable retails playground for entrepreneurs to sample new concepts and products.
No, there aren’t slides or monkey bars, but rather a blank slate with freedom over lightening, sound, even scent, plus analytic and data support and touch screens for customers to make purchases online; all courtesy of Easton.
If that isn’t the retail equivalent of a playground, we don’t know what is.
Expected tenants include new-to-market retailers and/or retailers who have physical locations but none around the Easton area.
Their leases will range from a few weeks to a few months.
Columbus Business First reports Shop Lab is located inside Easton Station along the central stairs and is expected to open in the fall.
