Gas guzzling: CPD officer investigated for stealing gas
It’s off to desk duty for one Columbus officer. An investigation has begun concerning Charles W. Meinhart after a supervisor became worried that there might be an issue with him stealing gas and using it personally. Generally Meinhart patrols the East Side, but Monday he was taken off patrol duty. Details have not been released and officials are trying to determine if it happened and if so how much gas was stolen.
