Clintonville vintage shop shuttering, beauty salon stepping in
A Clintonville clothing shop will be shutting its doors this month and a beauty salon will be ushered in.
Vintage Toast, a vintage clothing, accessory, and home decor shop, at 3284 N. High St. will be closing to focus more on their online sales.
“One of the things we learned was that our true passion was for clothing and we didn’t need a storefront with 2,000 sq. ft to allow people to enjoy our finds,” wrote Vintage Toast on Instagram. “We wouldn’t trade the experience of running a (brick and mortar) business for all the gold in your Fort Knox, but as we look to the future of Vintage Toast, it’s clear that it lies online in the Cloud(s).”
They’ll be working on updating their website for shopping to compliment their thriving Etsy store.
Vintage Toast’s last day will be July 29 with increasing sales until then.
July 5th – 8th: Everything in store (including fixtures) 10% off
July 12th – 15th: Everything in store (including fixtures) 20% off
July 19th – 22nd: Everything in store (including fixtures) 30% off
July 26th – 29th: Everything in store (including fixtures) 40% off

In Vintage Toast’s place will be Lacquer Gallery.
The original Lacquer is at 448 W. 3rd. Ave. and offers haircuts and color, nail services, spray tans, makeup, full-body waxes, facials, lash extensions, and cosmetic tattoo work.
Unlike this flagship location, Lacquer Clintonville will be all nails and esthetic services.
Lacquer is woman-run and takes pride in employing other women in the community as well as supporting other artists and female-run businesses by showcasing their work in the gallery.
Plans are to open the salon this fall.
