“Next up on chopping block,” wrecking ball moves in on Toos

Toos Spirits Under High on Ohio State University’s campus and their 7,824 Twitter followers are paying their final respects as the looming CampusPartners wrecking ball swings closer and closer to 1880 N High St.

“Well it looks like we made it one more #Toosday” tweeted Toos yesterday. “But we’re clearly next up on the chopping block.”

They added a photo of Toos storefront with “THANK YOU” spray painted on it.

Next door, the former Campus Corner convenience store (which has been reduced to rubbles) can also be seen in the photo.

“Honestly, THANK YOU all from the bottom of our hearts for your support of our shitty basement dive bar,” they added. “They can bury the bar, but not our memories that we created in it!! #tooslove.”

Former Ohio State Buckeye and current NFL reporter tweeted, “Campus Partners needs to stop trying to ruin Ohio State,” in response to Toos being knocked down.

Toos replied, “Our location will probably be knocked down literally tomorrow. We heard it’s going to possibly be a parking lot. Smh.”
