The newest addition to the Columbus Zoo polar bear family is ready to meet you!
Lee, who arrived at the Zoo last month, has been introduced to the Polar Frontier.
He is a transplant from Denver. His relocation was at the recommendation of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Species Survival Plan.

Lee will rotate in the habitat with Aurora and Anana as he and the females continue getting acquainted.
The hope is that breeding will occur to combat the steadily declining polar bear population.
Experts estimate only 20,000 to 25,000 bears are left in their native ranges.
