Nationwide, with its new rebranding, is restructuring some of its underwriting centers. Ten are set to be eliminated regionally and some of those employees are headed to Columbus.
The employees were told last week about the change, as the company attempts to consolidate under its new branding. Those changes are set to begin this year and continue into the next six years. “This is move and relocation, not an effort to reduce,” spokesman Eric Hardgrove told Columbus Business First, and while the local number of Nationwide employees will go up, nationally their number of employees will remain steady.
