Kasich kicks it old school with new cursive law

If Ohio’s youth thought they were going to skate through elementary school without learning the art of cursive handwriting, Governor John Kasich’s got some news for them.
On Wednesday, Kasich signed a bill into law a bill that requires students to be able to write legibly in cursive by the end of fifth grade.

The Hill reports the Ohio Department of Education is expected to create a new curriculum so students will be able to master print by third grade and cursive by fifth.
