The shushing environment of libraries could become a relic, as modern libraries are turning toward creating community environment focused on learning, reading and technology. The Atlantic took a look at the shifting landscape for modern libraries and used Columbus as an example. “It turns out that the library enthusiasts from Columbus are illustrating a lot of what is happening in their hometown library system and in many other libraries around the country, right now,” the article said. Columbus libraries are getting remade, reinvented and given a new life as places for learning rather than quiet time.
