CBJ opens the season in Buffalo
After a seeming eternity, Ryan Johansen was signed once again to the Columbus Blue Jackets albeit while missing team camp. Regardless of the circumstance, Johansen was and is the Blue Jackets no. 1 center and losing him would have meant losing one of their leading scorers. The team is poised to take on the Buffalo Sabres in New York Thursday night in their season opener. In several seasons in the past, the Blue Jackets have struggled at the start of the season, making it more difficult for them closer to playoffs.
