The Columbus Blue Jackets started the season on the right foot. Thursday night they won the season opener against the Sabres, 3-1, in Buffalo. Sergei Bobrovsky saved 21 shots, but the win didn’t come until the third period with two goals hitting the net within five minutes of each other. “We have to get better, but the speed of the game was good,” coach Todd Richards said, according to the Dispatch. “There were certain points tonight where I thought we started to wear them down.”
