New recommendations from Ohio officials on Ebola
Ohio health officials have laid out new recommendations concerning Ebola in the state to help combat its spread. They are stronger guidelines for travel and quarantine as well as urging hospitals to prepare if Ebola were to spread through Ohio. Now anyone who has been in physical contact with someone who was infected is asked to quarantine themselves for 21 days (the incubation period), and anyone who has been within three feet of an infected person is asked to check their temperature twice a day. “It has become clear that we cannot be too careful in efforts to contain the spread of this deadly disease,” Dr. Mary DiOrio, state epidemiologist and interim chief of the ODH Bureau of Prevention and Health Promotion said in a statement.
