Performers from “The Lion King” are planning to perform Monday (even though usually they take Mondays off), but they won’t be performing the famed Broadway show that they’ve been doing at the Ohio Theatre. Instead some of the cast members will be doing a cabaret show in an effort to raise awareness and fight AIDs. Pieces from famous Broadway shows will be part of the performance including “Hair Spray,” “Funny Girl” and others. The ticket sales and silent auction money will go toward Columbus’ AIDS Resource Center Ohio as well as New York’s Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
