Appeals court upholds ban on gay marriages in Ohio

The appeals court has upheld the ban on gay marriages in four states, including Ohio. The courts have said that while it is inevitable, the decision should be decided upon democratically rather than through the judiciary process. The other states where bans were upheld with this decision are Michigan, Tennessee and Kentucky. This means that the appeals courts within the US haven’t had unanimous rulings on gay marriage bans, and thus far experts have said that because of that discrepancy, the case will likely make its way to the Supreme Court.
