The Columbus Zoo has released one of their manatees back to the sunshine state and Rae, who had been part of their rehabilitation program, will be back in the wild soon. She was rescued in 2012 and brought to the zoo after having suffered from hunger and dehydration and the staff brought her to the Miami Seaquarium on Friday to be released in early 2015.
When the staff came back from dropping off Rae, they returned with little Cadbury, who had been found for two days swimming without a mother. He will be the 21st manatee at the zoo and will become part of the Manatee Rescue & Rehabilitation Partnership.
