Brought by Columbus, now it’s taking the city
Syphilis is apparently making its way around Columbus and many are trying to get people to get tested for the STD. Signs have gone up around Ohio State because of the citywide outbreak, and the disease has had a 34 percent increase from this January to August as compared to 2013, the Lantern reported. The first advisory was sent out in July concerning the increase in the disease.
The STD is thought to have been brought to the Americas by the one and only Christopher Columbus and his crew.
