Thanksgiving travel racked up 19 deaths

It’s not new that people flood the highways during Thanksgiving weekend to travel to family and friends, but this year also saw 19 deaths because of accidents in Ohio. That number is up compared to the last few years. “Seven people were not wearing an available safety belt and five of the people killed in fatal crashes were involved in OVI-related crashes,” said Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. Vincent Shirey, according to WTVN. Four people were also pedestrians.
