Javier Armengau’s trial is expected to continue on into next week, but the Columbus Bar Association has requested Ohio Supreme Court take immediate action on the criminal-law lawyer currently on trial for charges of rape, sexual battery, gross sexual imposition, kidnapping and public indecency. The “emergency” motion has called for his license to practice law be suspended. “There is strong enough evidence to conclude that Armengau’s approach to the practice of law and his personal life poses a present danger to the community and the legal profession …,” the motion states, according to The Dispatch.
