Is a Buckeye QB transferring to Duke?

Rumors are circulating that OSU quarterback Braxton Miller is thinking about transferring to Duke to join the Blue Devil’s football team. The speculation started from sources cited by 247Sports’ Adam Rowe.

It’s possible that Miller is contemplating a move, after he was sidelined due to an injury earlier this year and J.T. Barrett filled in. And with Barrett having performed so well in the season, there might not be room for two outstanding quarterbacks on OSU’s team. If Miller did transfer, he would be able to play right away.

Sporting News‘ Matt Hayes said,  “As much as Miller loves playing for Ohio State, he has no other option but to leave for his final season if he wants to play in the NFL. He’s not helping his draft stock by sitting behind Barrett (because that’s where he’ll be), and he’s not getting critical repetitions against college football’s elite teams unless he transfers as a graduate student and plays somewhere else in 2015.”

Nothing official has been announced, and it’s also possible that if Miller does transfer if might not even to be Duke. For now, Miller is still sporting the scarlet and grey.
