CLOSED: DeepWood Restaurant and Oak Room Art Gallery shut doors for good in the Short North

High Street’s DeepWood Restaurant and its adjoining Oak Room Art Gallery have closed their doors for good. The announcement came today via social media. DeepWood first opened its doors in 2008 with the Oak Room following later. No reason was given for the closing. DeepWood saying, in part:
We are grateful for the opportunity to depart on a high note, esteemed as one of the best Columbus restaurants, an original, an “oasis.”
The Oak Room Art Gallery says that they will continue to support artists online while the search begins for a new physical space. (jj)
