02/05/2020: “New allegations” have been raised against a Hilliard City Schools teacher who was placed on paid administrative leave following an accusation that he posted an “inappropriate” link on the website students use to access course materials.
Hilliard Davidson High School sent a letter to parents on Tuesday saying district officials are “proceeding with employment action” against Shawn M. Parsell, reports This Week News.
Davidson Principal Aaron Cookson added to the letter that “new and unrelated allegations were raised about inappropriate behavior.”
The charge filed against Parsell is for sexual imposition against a victim “13/14/15 years old,” according to court documents. His arraignment is scheduled for February 18.
Parsell was originally placed on paid administrative leave on December 17, 2019 for allegedly posting a link to a pornographic website on the school’s learning management system called Canvas. In a video a parent sent This Week News, a student clicks on a link on Parsell’s curriculum modules titled “French Revolution” that appears to lead to an external pornographic website.
