Columbus Zoo adds three fluffy members: baby red pandas

They’re small and fluffy and barely have their eyes open. They’re the little red panda cubs at the Columbus Zoo. Their birth was announced Thursday morning and most of Columbus has probably ogled over the cuteness already. (Thanks social media.) Two boys and one girl were born to mom, Kiah, and dad, Rinzen June 20. Because of the high mortality rate of red pandas in the first months of life, zookeepers are keeping an especially watchful eye on the little fluff balls and visitors won’t be able to see them until the fall when they leave the den.
