Art pieces will be able to be purchased by patrons attending the event. Fifty percent or more of the art sales will go toward local charities Columbus Freedom Fund, Community Kitchen, and Prime One Health.
Organizers are requiring face masks and will also be providing hand sanitizer, spacing out display areas, and promoting at least six feet of social distancing. They are also dubbing the celebration a “safe space” for all.
“To us, the theme of Black Lives Matter means embracing differences in race, gender, religion, and culture,” said Michael Lea, the person assembling the art fundraiser. “We welcome anyone and everyone to support a movement that looks forward to a better world that treats and respects all humans equally.”
The visual artists who will be selling work at the show include Lea, Lindsay Ciulla, Maya Eigel, Rob Harrison, Bill Naiman, E T Gelin, Nadia Lynch, Misako Ueshima, and Andrew Wallace.
