2020 All American Quarter Horse Congress canceled
What started with the domino effect of The Arnold canceling its annual event in March has continued to knock out Columbus events that attract national attention.
Now, one of the other big draws to Columbus in the fall announced on Monday that it would be canceling its event for 2020. The 2020 All American Quarter Horse Congress will not be taking place this September and October.

In a statement posted to the AAQHC website, the organization stated that the uncertainty of COVID-19 is preventing the event from safely moving forward.
“It is a sad day with the cancellation of the 2020 All American Quarter Horse Congress,” said Dr. Scott Myers, CEO of the Ohio Quarter Horse Association. “Hearing all the concerns from the local and state health departments, and the CDC, it was the right decision to make to keep people safe and healthy.”
For the Columbus economy, this comes as another major blow. The AAQHC was projected to bring almost 750,000 attendees to the city during the original Sept. 29 through Oct. 25 showcase, according to Columbus Business First.
No horses at the fairgrounds this year, but let’s stay hopeful that they’re saving their best stuff for next year.
