State renames portion of highway for fallen soldier

The state of Ohio is renaming a stretch of highway to remember a Grove City soldier who died in Afghanistan last year. 27 year-old Joey Riley was killed in a November explosion in Kabul. Seven others (including six civilians) also died when a bomb attached to a bicycle blew up near Riley’s convoy.

The section of roadway between Route 62 and Route 665 will now be known as “Army Specialist Joey Riley Memorial Highway.” Riley was a 2005 graduate of Grove City High School.  (jj)
