Recycling truck catches fire, explodes
This morning around 3AM, a recycling truck at Marion and Lockbourne Rd. caught fire and exploded. Firefighters were called to the intersection and found the truck already in flames, with the fire spreading to a second truck. As they worked to put it out (so it wouldn’t spread to a nearby building), a part of the truck exploded. Firefighters were able to put out the fire and no injuries were reported. The fire is being investigated, but as of now, they believe that a piece of trash (catching fire) likely started the blaze. (deb)
