UA Representative to “shake it off”
Well, this might be a way to actually get me to attend a Republican fundraiser. Rep. Steve Stivers (R-Upper Arlington) is holding a fundraiser at a Taylor Swift concert. For just $1,500, you can buy a ticket for the Swift fundraiser (and sit next to him!) at the July 13th concert at Nationals Stadium. But for those not into the whole ‘shocked Taylor Swift performance face’ thing, Stivers assures you he has other, nonmusical fundraisers planned too.
“I’m having a fundraiser at the Taylor Swift concert because it seemed like a good opportunity for a fun event. If people want to support me as a job-creating, pro-business candidate and they want to do it at a Taylor Swift concert so be it. I do boring fundraisers, too, if people prefer that option.” – Res.
