Alcohol home delivery service starts today
Drinkos, the Cincinnati-based beverage delivery service, begins Columbus operations today. Customers will be able to go to the Drinkos website or access their app to order delivery of beer, wine, liquor and other assorted goods for delivery to their home or elsewhere. (Pardon me, reverend while I take delivery of this tequila.)
Customers will be required to show proof of age and there will be a minimum delivery order. A delivery charge will also be added.
Service begins Thursday at 4pm. (jj)
Previous: Booze…delivered right to your door 6/12/15
Certainly, the best news that I’ve heard all day.
Cincinnati-based beverage delivery service Drinkos is expanding to Columbus. The company already has operations in Cincy and Dayton and plans on beginning Columbus deliveries later this month. Their slogan “celebration without interruption” seems to pretty much say it all. If you’ve ever had a bunch of people over to your house and you’ve found yourself running low on beer, then you get the beauty and convenience of Drinkos.
Customers go to the company’s website or access their app. They then verify their age and place their order (minimum $30, plus a $5 delivery charge). Drinkos promises delivery in 60 minutes or less. When the delivery driver arrives at your door, they scan ID to verify proof of age and there you go.
In Cincinnati (and presumably in Columbus), Drinkos works in conjunction with local liquor stores to make it happen. (In Dayton, they have their own outlet.) In addition to beer, wine and other spirits, they also expect to offer Columbus customers an assortment of other items including things like popcorn, candy, 5-hour Energy and cigars. (jj)
