It hasn’t always worked out this way, but this time around, musicians and management seem to have been on the same page in regards to a new deal. The Columbus Symphony Orchestra Committee and the Central Ohio Federation of Musicians Local 103 both have now given their approval to a three-year deal. The budget for the symphony increases just a hair (up to $8 million) for the coming season. There’s no word on whether or not that translates to raises for any of the group’s 42 core musicians. (jj)
