Local festival serves as unique homecoming for Gold and Platinum music marketer
We missed it last year, but Picktown Palooza will be back in action this summer.
The three-day festival, held in Pickerington from July 15-17, returns this year with a full slate of classic summer festival attractions. This includes a wide variety of carnival rides, food vendors, a car and bike show, a 5K run, and of course, plenty of great live music.

It even represents a unique homecoming for one Pickerington High School Central graduate.
Troy Stacy, the Pickerington Central alumnus turned award-winning music marketer whose work helped earn Gold and Platinum recognition at Interscope Records for releases by artists including Black Eyed Peas, Dr. Dre, LL Cool J, Method Man, Prodigy, and Powerman 5000, is set to return to his alma mater this year. In all, Stacy has been credited with albums and singles that have achieved either gold or platinum status in nine different countries.
He’s also behind Craft & Vinyl, the combination craft beer bar, record shop, and recording studio in Upper Arlington that, despite a 15-month shutdown due COIVD-19, plans to reopen soon.
Currently, Stacy also serves as a mentor to young musicians. He provides insight from his years in the industry to help steer them in more productive directions. One of those bands, Cream Camino, will take the Picktown Palooza Stage on July 17, and Stacy will accompany them for his first-ever visit to the festival as well.
“When you see them, they’re just an absolute notch above from a talent perspective; the way they command the stage and just their musicianship,” Stacy said of Cream Camino. “They’re just an incredibly talented band.”
Stacy and the band plan to make their appearance in style as well.
In a nod to his former high school’s mascot, they plan to deck out the tour bus that will take them to the event stage in black and orange tiger stripes.
“Once a Tiger, always a Tiger! So, if you see our shiny black & orange striped tour bus making its way down State Route 256 on Saturday, July 17 with the music on loud, give us a few welcome home honks,” Stacy said in a prepared statement.
