Simply Living’s Sustainable Living and Garden Tour
– Sat. July 24, 10am-3pm.
The all-new 2021 Tour includes 8 venues featuring diverse gardens, solar energy, EVs, and an innovative community garden! True to form, Simply Living’s Tour is a learning opportunity! Homeowners will be available to answer your questions at each location. The Tour will include 8 stops showcasing a wide variety of gardens featuring native plants, certified wildlife habitats, rain gardens, rain barrels, herbs, permaculture designs, and more. Visitors will be able to ask a representative from OSU Extension /Ask A Master Gardener program their gardening questions. In addition, learn first-hand from those who have installed solar panels, including one with a battery backup system if the power is interrupted. Electric vehicles will also be on display. This year a community garden on a church property will feature an innovative robotic seeding system being implemented in partnership with OSU. A table with literature on sustainability will be available at each tour venue: Simply Living newsletters, free copies of Yes! magazines, and brochures from collaborating partners like Columbus GreenSpot, FLOW, Franklin County Soil and Water District and other environmental organizations. Tickets for the tour are $10. A special $25 option includes a full year membership in Simply Living. All proceeds support the work of Simply Living’s core mission to provide Community Education for Sustainable Living. Tickets at SimplyLiving.org Marketplace – https://bit.ly/3yRNrww
