Canine Companions is a national nonprofit that provides expertly trained service dogs to adults and children with disabilities, completely free of charge. We created the concept of the modern service dog in 1975 and have since provided more than 8,600 service dogs to people with disabilities, at no charge to them. The Canine Companions North Central Training Center, which covers a 14-state region, is located in New Albany, Ohio.
