Cincinnati teen crowned Miss Ohio
The annual Miss Ohio pageant has concluded, and Cincinnati 18-year-old Alice Magoto has been crowned the winner.
In addition to wearing a floral print gown she said was her prom dress, Magoto sang “Astonishing” from the musical “Little Women” to win the artistic expression award.
She takes home a $10,000 scholarship in addition to the honor of representing Ohio at the upcoming Miss America pageant later this year.
Hoping to inspire girls to be confident, her platform revolves around the slogan: “Healthy Confidence, the New Definition of Beauty.”
“I’m also going to start my redefining beauty movement,” Magoto said. “I’ve already started it. I’m just going to take it to the next level.”
Magoto plans to major in political science in college.
