Ohio State Troopers Return from Dakota Access Pipeline Protests

Thirty-seven Ohio state troopers are back in Ohio after their controversial assist of North Dakota officials in handling the Dakota Access pipeline protests close to a Native American reservation.

There were protests and petitions against Gov. Kasich’s decision to lend Ohio State Troopers to the protest near the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation.

Council members, legislators and environmental groups all called on Kasich to withdraw the troopers. 47,584 people signed an online petition to withdraw our troops but were unsuccessful in bringing them back early.

Just yesterday a man halted Downtown traffic for over an hour as he chained himself underneath a #nodapl van near Third & Broad.
