Mirror Lake Is Making a Comeback

Ohio State finally released the date of Mirror Lake’s return, and the plans are set to restore the concrete patch to its former glory, according to the Columbus Dispatch. 

This time around Mirror Lake will be permanently off limits to the Mirror Lake Jump — last year a student died when he dove in and broke his neck during the Michigan Week tradition. Though the university never sanctioned the tradition, they are obviously putting in the effort to preserve their students’ safety.

The Mirror Lake renovation won’t be alone in its rebuilding — Browning Amphitheater and Oxley and Pomerene Halls will also be renovated. The lake is slated to be finished in 2018.
