Easton Developer Gets Tax Break to Help Grow Linden Area

The Easton Town Center’s lead developer, Georgetown Co., will be receiving a tax abatement from the city of Columbus in exchange for their help in growing the Linden area build their own development.

The tax break is meant to cover Georgetown Co.’s new housing project in the Easton which is expected to last anywhere from 10-37 years. During that time, the tax break will total up to $68 million, according to 10tv.

In exchange, Georgetown Co. will give $5 million in three separate payments to aid Linden in their improvements, infrastructure, and developments. Georgetown will also give designs or planning assistance for what the Linden community groups decide to build.
