Cop crashes cruiser into home

Police continue to investigate an incident that happened this morning when a Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy ran his cruiser into a home in west Columbus.

The officer was responding to a call where a fellow officer was in trouble when they collided with another car near the intersection of Briggs Road and Brinker Avenue. 10tv reports that the other vehicle did not yield properly but instead turned left where the officer was attempting to pass.

The officer went off the road and crashed into a home on the corner of South Brinker Avenue.

The officer was injured but is expected to recover and the other driver was not injured.
