East Columbus robber steals phone, leaves his behind

A burglar escaped with some electronics and two pairs of shoes but left behind one of the most incriminating items possible: his cell phone.

Back in April, a woman walked into her East Mound Street home to find it entirely disheveled. She heard a noise and walked in to her bedroom where the burglar was riffling through things. The woman maced the suspect and he jumped out the window with the stolen items. As he jumped, his own phone fell out of his pocket. Ironically, one of the items the suspect stole was an Apple iPhone.
