Bates & Brown Barber Chair looks like the kind of barber shop Jay Gatsby went to before 1920 dinner parties or the kind of lounge Frank Sinatra spent most of his time when he wasn’t Sinatra-ing around.

Featuring licensed cosmetologists, barbers and a full bar — they’re offering pretty much everything you could actually want to happen to the hair on your face including traditional haircuts, eyebrow grooming, beard and mustache grooming and the terrifying but oh-so-worth it straight razor shave.

Did we mention they have two massage therapists on staff and three men’s grooming specialists, because why not — if you’re going to do something might as well make it a 10/10.

The Master Barber, Chris Cook — has been in the haircutting industry for over 30 years — growing up an artist, barbering quickly became his passion. He graduated from Ohio State Barber College and over the years he has mastered the use of any and all cutting tools and techniques.

Between the three barbers on staff — they’ve got over 60 years in the profession which is twice as long as I’ve been alive — not that that has anything to do with the quality of a haircut, it’s just impressive.

Bates & Brown Barber Chair is located  at 5033 Olentangy River Road Columbus, OH 43214 and their hours are:

Monday: Closed
Tues – Fri: 10am to 7pm
Saturday: 10am to 6pm
Sunday: 11am to 5pm
