“Damn tasty,” Food Network star raves about local salsa
A Food Network all-star was recently eating his way through the Columbus food scene when he came across something worth celebrating.
“It’s the only salsa I’ve ever had out in America that changed my own salsa game at home,” said Alton Brown, host of Good Eats, appears regularly on Food Network Star, Iron Chef America and Cutthroat Kitchen, of Cosecha Cocina’s Tomatillo Avocado Salsa in a recent episode of The Best Thing I Ever Ate.
On the show, celebrity chefs talk shop about their favorite foods to enjoy off camera.

Brown attributes Cosecha Cocina’s crowning salsa achievement to the fact that a majority of the tomatillos “have been roasted…and not just roasted, blistered.”
“I’m pretty sure the first night that I went there, all I did was have two bowls of salsa,” Brown said laugingly.
In the episode, Executive Chef Silas Caeton walks viewers through the step-by-step process of concocting the delectable salsa.
Brown complimented Cosecha on their attention to detail and the remarkable balance they achieved in their recipe.
“Damn tasty,” attested Brown.
