Kiss Crosswoods’ Winking Lizard goodbye on this date

Update: To make way for a new extended-stay hotel, Crosswoods’ Winking Lizard and Bravo Cucina Italiana are closing. In fact, the latter of the two has already battened down the hatches for good. 

Winking Lizard at 100 Hutchinson Ave is expected to serve customers for the last time on either February 16 or 17, reports Columbus Business First per the company.

At least they’ll be sticking around to accommodate your Valentine’s Day plans.

12/06/2017 On the heels of Crosswoods’ Winking Lizard closing will be neighboring Bravo Cucina Italiana. In their places will most likely be a 168-unit extended-stay hotel.

The Dispatch reports a Westerville development company plans to build on the site at 100 Hutchinson Avenue.

The new hotel would pretty much be an apartment complex because zoning calls for commercial use of the ground floor and residential above it.

If everything goes smoothly, this new hotel will be in the center of a whole ring of other hotels: Sheraton Suites, Double Tree by Hilton, Homewoods Suites by Hilton, Courtyard by Marriot, Motel 6, Quality Inn, and Extended Stay America.

Damn, Crosswoods, got enough places for people to stay?
