The beat goes on thanks to Columbus
Columbus’ PromoWest Productions announced its purchase of Cincinnati’s Bunbury and Buckle Up music festivals.
Bunbury Music Festival, which takes place along the Ohio River in downtown Cincinnati has hosted top alternative artists including The Flaming Lips, MGMT, Fall Out Boy, and FUN. PromoWest will handle all booking, marketing, sponsorship and production of the festival and Bill Donabedian, its founder, will continue overseeing operations. In addition to this support, PromoWest has also resigned the festival layout. It will now feature two main stages and two side stages for better viewing and easier logistical flow. Bunbury Music Festival will take place June 5-7 2015 and tickets are already on sale: early bird single-day tickets are $49, 3-day passes are $109 and VIP is $349. Ticket prices will increase January 2, 2015.
Buckle Up Music Festival, a country music festival launched in 2014, has had country stars such as The Band Perry, Willie Nelson and Alabama and brought in close to 60,000 attendees. The festival will be moved from Sawyer Point and Yeatman’s Cove to the new Summit Park in Blue Ash, Ohio for 2016. Because or PromoWest’s purchase and the move, the festival has been rescheduled for August 2016 (previously purchased tickets through ShowClix for the 2015 Bunbury festival will be honored at the main festival gate and refunds are available at the original purchase price.) The festival lineup will be announced in February 2015.
You wont have to head south to get tickets, PromoWest is also bringing along it current ticketing partner, Ticketmaster, who will handle both festivals.
