The Columbus International Film + Video Festival has been running for 62 years, making it the longest running film festival in the US, and it kicks off in full on Thursday with a screening at the Gateway Film Center of “Scarlet Road.” Following the Gateway showing, events take place across the city at Brothers Drake, Studio 35, Drexel Theatre and CCAD. This year more than 400 films were submitted to the council, and this year the festival is very international with films shot in Turkey, Serbia and all over the globe.
