Blue Jackets snubbed on TV coverage

It’s no secret that the Columbus Blue Jackets are still trying to gain a serious following. Their season begins midway through Buckeye football season and convincing locals that constant Buckeye coverage is a bad thing isn’t going to happen anytime soon. The team is relatively young in the NHL, and like many younger siblings, tends to get bullied out of a lot. Recently NBC has snubbed the Blue Jackets for televised coverage, airing only a single game (which is coincidentally against the Penguins who are lousy with TV time). Dominating TV slots, are the Boston Bruins, New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings, according to Columbus Business First. Even coming off one of its more successful seasons, the hockey team still hasn’t made it on the radar yet, but locals can still get the games on local stations though.
